Breaking: Doves Owner Linked To Organized Crime

In an interesting twist in an already disappointing season, Doves owner, Jack Vaughn, has been linked to organized crime boss Big Jim Colosimo. A tip was given to the Chicago Tribune that the unidentified source has seen Mr. Vaughn entering The Saratoga on numerous occasions. A popular destination for the Chicago wealthy, The Saratoga on Dearborn & 22nd St is widely known as a brothel, owned by Mr. Colosimo. Big Jim owns and operates two other brothels in the city and has for some time now been tied to gambling and racketeering.

Once the tip was received, it needed to be corroborated. For the next week, a fact finding mission was done. As you can see in the photo of the Saratoga, the second car from the left, a very light colored car, has been traced back to Mr. Vaughn via vehicle registration reports. There is nothing else around The Saratoga business wise. Typically the drivers of those cars are inside The Saratoga doing things that are known to happen in brothels.

When asked for comment for this report, Mr. Vaughn replied, “I have never been to a brothel let alone The Saratoga. Where is that, in Chicago?” When asked why his car was parked out front of The Saratoga he had this response, “Listen, if you think that I would park my car in front of a brothel in the middle of the day for all to see, you reporters are dumber than I think you are. I have never even met Big Jim or his wife, Victoria.” Pressed as to how he knew Victoria’s name when it was never spoken, Jack Vaughn didn’t say a word and walked away.

Things are beginning to add up for the Tribune Sports Department. From the press conference introducing GM Eric Hortness that was held at The Bismarck, to the Doves wanting to get younger and wanting “controllable” players, to now this breaking story, the Doves are certainly starting to make a name for themselves and the Legacy Baseball League.
